Today I finished my website. All pages are done and look eye appealing. I enjoyed doing this project as it was very informative. I learned many new things from this book that I had never known about. Now I understand the uses of Phenol as well as the other molecules mentioned in this book.

Today I took pictures of my maps. After I took pictures I added them to the maps page and edited them. I also finished my recipe video. Its pretty funny and informative.
Today I edited my home page. Before it had nothing related to my topic on it and it just felt out of place. So I changed it from a boat floating in the ocean to an actual picture of Phenol. Now I feel like it fits the topic.
Today I edited my chemical formulas page. I put Phenols chemical formula and molecular weight on the page (go to page to see the formula and weight). I also added the molecule, Phenol reds chemical formula to the page. Phenol red is a pH indicator frequently used in cell biology laboratories.
Today I finished building my 3D model and its page. It looks great and shows the molecular image of phenol red. I also researched different experiments I could do with phenol. I was thinking since lysol contains phenol, I could make a commercial about lysol and perform an experiment with it.
Today I put my maps pages in. I learned that vanilla was native to Central America. I also learned that the man who discovered bakelite was Leo Baekeland. He immigrated to the US and discovered this molecule. I edited and redesigned my home page and the maps.
Today I edited my impact on history page. I read through the book and found interesting facts and different topics that were effected in the world following the invention of phenol. In the 1860's hospitals were a bad place to go to. They were very dirty and most times surgery resulted in infections.
Today I made my home page look eye appealing. I also created some more pages such as maps, chemical formulas, and Napoleons Buttons. Anyone that visits the site can now tell what phenol is and its chemical formula. After getting started reading I am so intrigued and I just cant put it down. Did you know that bakelite a molecule that is made from Phenol was used in the first artificial pool balls?
Today we were introduced to the project. I created my website which I designed and edited. It looks like a pretty cool project so far. Im planning on continuing building and editing my website tomorrow.
