Pictured below is a poster of different things that are Phenol related. The white crystalline tube is a picture of Phenol in its purest form. The billiards balls are made from the molecule bakelite, which is created from the molecule phenol. The chemical formula and chemical picture describe Phenols formula and the way it looks at the molecular level. The swimming pool and pool tester relate to phenol because swimming pool ph tester contains phenol red. The elephant relates to phenol because the tusks of elephants were used to create billiards balls out of pure ivory. The killing of elephants of elephants led to the creation of bakelite. And finally, pictured below is a picture of Joseph Lister. He is credited for using phenol as the first surgical antiseptic and changing the way surgery was performed.
